CESS Participates in Major International Conference in Bratislava

01-May-2026 The international conference titled “The 2nd Sport Integrity Conference: The Fight Against Match-Fixing and Money Laundering,” held in Bratislava, Mr. Nikolas Konstantinou and Mr. Nikolas Koursaris, members of the Ethics and Sports Protection Committee, participated.
The conference brought together experts, institutional bodies, representatives of sports organizations, and law enforcement authorities, with the aim of strengthening sports integrity and addressing contemporary threats, such as match-fixing and money laundering in sports.
During the proceedings, topics were discussed regarding the prevention and investigation of match-fixing incidents, cooperation between sports bodies and law enforcement authorities, as well as the need to strengthen national and international coordination for the effective protection of the integrity of sport.
The participation of the Commission’s representatives is part of ongoing training and the exchange of expertise, with the aim of further strengthening actions that promote transparency, legality, and the credibility of sport in Cyprus.
