CESS launched the Anonymous Reporting Platform

01-May-2026 In a very important step in the right direction toward creating a safe environment in sports, the Ethics and Sports Protection Committee announced the launch of the Anonymous Reporting Platform.

In keeping with its commitment and determination to act as a deterrent, the Committee presented the Anonymous Reporting Platform at a press conference held at the Hilton Hotel in Nicosia on Holy Thursday, April 9
The President of the CESS, Mr. Stefanos Skordis, after welcoming those in attendance, highlighted the important tool now available to the Commission and called on those with any information to submit it, either through named complaints or via the Anonymous Complaints Platform, which is now available.

Mr. Nikolas Konstantinou, a member of the EDP, who referred to the creation of the new platform for submitting anonymous complaints, noting that it has been found that many people in the sports community are aware of issues but remain silent, fearing the consequences and the disclosure of their identity. As Mr. Konstantinou noted, this is a modern and fully secure system that will allow every citizen to report, with true anonymity, acts of corruption in sports or other offenses provided for in the Law on Combating the Manipulation of Sports Events.
“Today’s initiative is, therefore, an important step for Cyprus. Not because it solves the problem on its own, but because it creates, for the first time, the conditions for information to reach places where, until now, it has not reached in the proper manner. “From there on, it is our responsibility to use this information with seriousness, consistency, and respect,” he added emphatically.
Konstantinos Tylliros, the technical manager, provided further details on how the Anonymous Reporting Platform works, emphasizing how the anonymity of any report submitted is ensured. The platform does not collect IP addresses, cookies, or any technical identifiers, and all information will be stored in encrypted form in a secure environment, accessible only to authorized members of the Committee
